Is AION 2 PC only?
The Global version is. NC’s launch FAQ answers the mobile question by naming Steam and PURPLE. The Steam store lists Windows only, with no Mac or Linux build.
Steam and PURPLE players use the same servers and get the same content. You can link the two accounts if you want one set of characters on both.
What about mobile?
Mobile exists only for the Korean and Taiwanese services. NC launched AION 2 in Korea and Taiwan on November 19, 2025 on both mobile and PC. Those versions:
- use separate accounts and separate servers;
- follow a different update schedule (they already have the Chapter 1 update);
- do not share progress with Global.
There is no Global mobile app. Apps that claim to be “AION 2 Global mobile” are not official.
What about consoles?
No PS5, Xbox or Switch version has been announced. Treat any “AION 2 PS5 release date” as unconfirmed.
Steam Deck, Linux and controllers
- Steam Deck / Linux: NC says the game may run on other platforms or devices, but it only supports Windows PC. Support tickets for these setups may not be resolved.
- Controller: you can play with a controller, but NC does not officially support it. Steam does not list controller support for AION 2.

FAQ
Is AION 2 on mobile?
Only in Korea and Taiwan. The Global version is PC-only, and NC has not announced a Global mobile release.
Is AION 2 coming to PS5 or Xbox?
No console version has been announced in any official NC notice we checked as of October 15, 2026.
Can I play AION 2 on Steam Deck?
NC says the game may be playable on other devices, but official support covers only Steam and PURPLE on Windows PC. Expect no fixes for Steam Deck issues.
Does AION 2 have controller support?
The game is playable with a controller, but NC states it is not officially supported. Steam does not list controller support.
Can I play the KR mobile version from abroad?
KR and TW are separate services with their own accounts and rules. We describe the differences factually but do not publish guides for getting around regional restrictions.
