How to check if AION 2 is down
- Official notice board: aion2.plaync.com → Notice. NC posts planned maintenance, outages and fixes here first.
- Steam: the News tab on the AION 2 Steam page mirrors the same notices.
- Official Discord and X (@Aion2Official): NC links its social channels from the Global website and asks players to follow them during maintenance.
- Customer Support: help.plaync.com for account-specific problems.
If none of these mention an issue, the problem is likely on your side. See errors and fixes and ping and connection.
Weekly maintenance schedule
NC has not published a fixed weekly time. The pattern so far:

When maintenance starts, you are disconnected. NC may change times without much notice and updates the original notice.

Compensation example: the EU outage of October 8
Affected servers received:
- 1 day of membership for players with an active membership;
- 1 day of pet auto-loot for players who had it active;
- a Special Daeva Supply chest by mail: 20 Life Crystals, 10 Resurrection Spiritstones, 20 Battle Enhance Scrolls, 5 Content Usage Ticket Selection Chests and 5 Odyle Energy (all Bound).
Server full or queue?
When a server is at capacity, NC uses a queue. According to NC, “members in good standing” join a priority queue instead of the general queue; the notice does not define the term in more detail. NC calls this a privilege, not a guarantee, and says accounts with sanctions may lose it. You can also pick a newer server, because dungeons are cross-server. See regions and servers.

Is AION 2 down right now?
Check the official Global notice board at aion2.plaync.com and the Steam news tab of AION 2. NC posts maintenance and outage notices in both places. Our page is not a live status monitor.
When is AION 2 weekly maintenance?
So far it has run on Tuesday night PDT, which is Wednesday morning CEST. On Oct 13 PDT / Oct 14 CEST it started at 23:30 PDT / 8:30 CEST and was planned for 4 hours.
Does maintenance kick me out of the game?
Yes. NC says players are disconnected when maintenance begins and cannot log in until it ends.
Do I get compensation for outages?
Often, but not always. After the Oct 8 EU outage NC sent membership days, pet auto-loot days and a supply chest to affected servers.
Why can’t I create an account?
NC occasionally runs platform maintenance on account registration, for example 30 minutes on Oct 13, 2026 from 14:00 PDT.
