How leveling works on Global
- Level cap: 45 in Season 1 — [Community ×2]. The September Launch Scale Test was capped at 37, which was a test-only limit — [Official].
- Main Episode quests carry you. One guide counts 179 Episode quests to 45 and about 97% (Elyos) / 99% (Asmodians) of the XP from them — [Single source].
- Side content (Sealed Dungeons, Strongholds, regional quests) gives little XP but gear, Enhance Stones and Daevanion Crystals — [Community ×3].

The item level 1,000 wall
Guides agree that you should reach Lv. 45 with about item level 1,000 — [Community ×3]. That is the mark for the story finale, the Abyss and the first endgame dungeons. To get there:
- Clear Sealed Dungeons and Strongholds you skipped.
- Do regional quests for accessories.
- Upgrade the belt and Revelation Amulet; you keep them a long time — [Community ×2].

After 45

FAQ
What is the max level in AION 2 Global?
45 in Season 1. KR and TW are at 50 since July 1, 2026. NC has not announced a level 50 date for Global.
What is the fastest way to level in AION 2?
Follow the main Episode quests. One guide measured that they provide about 97% (Elyos) to 99% (Asmodians) of the XP to 45. Use side content only to fill gaps.
Do side quests give good XP?
Not much. One guide counts 122 regional quests worth under 2% of the XP to 45. Do them for rewards (accessories, materials), not for XP.
Why am I blocked by the story near level 45?
Guides report that the final story steps need about item level 1,000. Raise item level with Sealed Dungeons, Strongholds, regional quests and the amulet and belt upgrades.
Do mounts give XP or speed up leveling?
They give no XP, but faster travel saves time. One guide says all mounts move at a similar speed.
