Step 0: is it you or the server?
Before you reinstall anything, check:
- the Notice board on aion2.plaync.com;
- the News tab on the AION 2 Steam page;
- our server status explainer.
If NC lists maintenance or an outage, wait. NC disconnects all players when maintenance starts, and login is unavailable until it ends.

Crashes and launch problems: safe steps
- Check your OS: NC supports Windows 10/11 64-bit only.
- Check disk space: the game needs 100 GB.
- Verify game files: in Steam, right-click AION 2 → Properties → Installed Files → Verify integrity. PURPLE has its own repair option.
- Update your GPU driver and restart the PC.
- Close overlays and injectors: recording tools, mods and unofficial meters can conflict with the client.
- Old Playtest app: if you still have “AION 2 Playtest” from the September test, NC asked Steam players to uninstall it and use the main game.
- Reinstall only if the steps above fail.
Account locks and restrictions
NC runs two different things:
- Temporary security lock: applied when NC sees access from a risky device or connection, such as a possible account takeover. NC says this is not a penalty. Contact Customer Support to restore access.
- Restriction (sanction): applied after review for bots, gold farming, unauthorized programs or real-money trading. NC says normal play, including long grinding sessions, is not affected. If you think it is a mistake, file a ticket.

We do not list unofficial “error code” tables. NC has not published an official error code list for Global.
FAQ
Why does AION 2 say it cannot connect to the server?
Most often the server is in maintenance or has an outage. Check the official notice board and Steam news. If no issue is posted, check your connection and firewall.
Why does AION 2 crash on startup?
Common causes are outdated GPU drivers, damaged game files or an unsupported OS. Verify files in Steam or PURPLE and update your drivers.
My account is locked. Am I banned?
Not necessarily. NC applies temporary security locks when it sees risky access, and says this is not a penalty. Contact Customer Support at help.plaync.com.
I paid on Steam but did not get my item. What now?
NC reported a Steam payment issue from Oct 6 to Oct 12, 2026 and says all affected purchases were delivered and limits restored on Oct 14. If yours is still missing, contact Customer Support.
Where do I report bugs?
NC asks players to post bugs in the bug-reports channel of the official Discord. Account and payment problems go to help.plaync.com.
My Twitch Drop did not arrive. Should I re-link my account?
No. NC warns that re-linking on the website can break your existing link and access to your character. Check that Twitch is linked to the account you play on.
