AION 2 DPS meters explained

AION 2 has no official DPS meter. Third-party meters read network packets or the screen. What NC’s Operation Policy says about unauthorized programs, and why we host no downloads.

In short

  • AION 2 Global has no official, built-in DPS meter that NC has announced.
  • Community meters usually capture network packets or read the screen (OCR) to estimate damage.
  • NC’s Operation Policy lists unauthorized programs and client tampering as reasons for an account ban; NC has not published a specific ruling on DPS meters for Global.
  • NC restricted thousands of accounts in October 2026 for, among other things, ‘use of unauthorized programs’.
  • We explain the topic but do not host or link meter downloads.

What is a DPS meter?

A DPS meter (damage-per-second meter) shows how much damage each player deals in a fight. Raid groups use meters to compare builds and rotations and to spot weak points.

AION 2 Global has no official meter that NC has announced. Everything you see in videos or Discord comes from third-party tools.

How do third-party meters work?

Method How it works Notes
Packet capture Reads the network traffic between your PC and the server and decodes damage events Most common; runs outside the client; can break after patches
Screen reading (OCR) Reads damage numbers from the screen Less precise; depends on UI settings
Client injection / memory reading Hooks into the game process Clearly matches the description of tampering in NC’s policy

These are general descriptions of how such tools work. We do not test or rank individual tools.

What do NC’s rules say?

NC has not published a Global notice about DPS meters specifically. The relevant general rules are in the AION 2 Global Operation Policy:

  • Use of Unauthorized Programs: using programs, devices or equipment that circumvent technical protection measures or interfere with normal operation. Listed sanction: account ban.
  • Creating or Distributing Unauthorized Programs, including modifying or tampering with client or server programs. Listed sanction: account ban.
  • For violations whose benefits are hard to calculate, NC may reset game data or restrict access to content.

NC’s weekly restriction notices in October 2026 named “Use of Unauthorized Programs” among the reasons for thousands of restrictions. The notices do not say which programs were involved.

So, is it safe?

We cannot call any third-party meter safe. NC alone decides what an unauthorized program is, and it can change enforcement at any time. On top of the account risk:

  • unofficial downloads can contain malware or credential stealers;
  • meters break after patches and can show wrong numbers;
  • using meter data to exclude players can create toxic groups.

Our policy

  • We do not host or link DPS meter downloads.
  • Our class guides use rotation logic and official skill data, not meter rankings.
  • If NC adds an official meter or publishes a ruling, we will update this page.

FAQ

Does AION 2 have a built-in DPS meter?

Not that NC has announced for Global. We found no such feature in the Global patch notes up to October 14, 2026.

Is using a DPS meter in AION 2 bannable?

NC has not issued a Global statement about DPS meters specifically. Its Operation Policy sanctions programs that circumvent technical protection or interfere with normal operation. Any third-party meter carries a risk.

How do AION 2 DPS meters work?

Most read the game’s network traffic (packet capture) and decode damage events. Others use OCR to read numbers from the screen. Both run outside the official client.

Is a packet-capture meter safer than one that injects into the game?

It touches the client less, but safety is not guaranteed. NC decides what counts as an unauthorized program, and downloads from unknown sources can also contain malware.

Where can I download a DPS meter?

We do not provide or link downloads. If you choose to use one, you take the account and security risk yourself.
