AION 2 Global server transfers open: free until Oct 27, with hourly caps

In short

• Server transfers opened after the Oct 14 (CEST) maintenance and run until the Oct 28 (CET) maintenance.
• Week 1 is for Early Access servers, week 2 (from Oct 21 CEST) for Launch servers.
• Transfers cost 0 Quna; only extra character slots on the target server cost 1,000 Quna each.
• NC set caps on transfers into and out of each server; the count refreshes every hour on the hour.
• A server flooded with requests may close transfers permanently, NC warned.

NC opened the first server transfer window for AION 2 Global with the maintenance of October 13 (PDT) / October 14 (CEST), 2026. Players can now move characters to another server in the same region and faction, for free.

Who can transfer, and when

• Until the Oct 20 (PDT) / Oct 21 (CEST) maintenance: Early Access servers only. They can move only to other Early Access servers.
• From then until the Oct 27 (PDT) / Oct 28 (CET) maintenance: Launch servers only.
• Each region has two daily application windows. For Europe the first day started early, at 12:30 CEST, with an extra round.

New: transfer caps per server

Shortly before the window opened, NC announced limits on transfers into and out of each server:

• the available count refreshes every hour on the hour;
• if a server reaches its limit, transfers there close until the next round;
• if a server receives an excessive number of requests, NC may close transfers into and out of it permanently.

NC says the caps are meant to keep the process stable and the servers balanced.

Cost

The base transfer and each character cost 0 Quna. You pay 1,000 Quna per slot only if the target server lacks free character slots for all characters you move.

What to prepare

Characters must be Lv. 10+, in a village, outside any Legion and without active Duties. Collect Market sales, Shop Storage items and mail first. Our server transfer guide lists all rules, the hours for every region and what carries over.
