In short

  • NC announced restrictions on 4,996 accounts (Oct 11), 10,000 (Oct 13), 9,422 (Oct 14) and 7,933 (Oct 16): 32,351 in total.
  • Listed reasons: gold farming and bot operations, use of unauthorized programs, and real-money trading (RMT).
  • NC also locked some accounts temporarily for security reasons; these locks are not penalties.
  • NC says normal play, including long grinding sessions, is not affected.
  • Players who think they were restricted by mistake can open a ticket with NC Customer Support.

NC has published four account restriction notices for AION 2 Global since October 11, 2026. Together they cover 32,351 accounts.

Account Restrictions (Oct 14) Oct 14, 00:00 PDT / 09:00 CEST 9,422
Account Restrictions (15 Oct PDT / 16 Oct CEST) Oct 15, 22:00 PDT / Oct 16, 06:00 CEST 7,933

Why accounts were restricted

All four notices cite the same sections of the AION 2 Operation Policy sanctions table:

  • Gold farming and bot operations: macros, bots and organized play patterns typical of gold farming;
  • Use of unauthorized programs;
  • Real-money trading (RMT).

The notices of October 14 and October 16 also name economy abuse: abnormal trading patterns that disrupt the game economy. NC says restrictions follow a review, and that normal play, including long grinding sessions, does not trigger them.

Security locks are different

Separately, NC temporarily locked a small number of accounts as a precaution, for example after access from a risky device or connection. NC states that a security lock is not a penalty; it protects the account until ownership is verified. Affected players should contact Customer Support at help.plaync.com.

Context

Before launch NC already warned that buying Kina or Quna from unauthorized sellers breaks its Terms of Service. The Operation Policy lists bot operations and unauthorized programs with an integrated account ban, and RMT with suspensions of 30 to 90 days.

Our account rules and RMT risks page explains which actions are sanctioned and how to keep your account safe.
