What a Gear Change Voucher is
A Gear Change Voucher is a Unique-grade, bound material named after one Expedition dungeon, for example Gear Change Voucher: Urugugu Canyon (Bound) — [Client data ×2]. It drops in that dungeon’s Expedition modes (Exploration / Conquest). One database says the final boss drops it — [Single source].
- Not tradeable; kept in Character Storage — [Client data].
- Used only in Substance Morph recipes — [Client data ×2].
In plain words: each run gives you a “coupon” for that dungeon. Collect enough coupons and you can buy the piece the dice never gave you.

How to use a voucher, step by step
- Open Substance Morph (crafting menu).
- Find the recipe with the dungeon’s name, for example “Urugugu Canyon: Accessory Selection Chest”.
- Check the cost: vouchers + Kina.
- Morph, then open the chest and pick the slot you need.
Smart gear changes
- Farm a tier, then fill the gap. Run one dungeon until you own most of its slots, then use vouchers for the last one — [Community ×2].
- Keep your upgrades with Transfer. Transfer moves the enhance level and Soul Binding to the new item; Manastones, Theostones and Potential are lost — [Community ×2]. The material item must be Soul Bound — [Client data]. → Soul Binding
- Don’t over-enhance pieces you will replace soon; Kina is not refunded on extraction — [Community ×2].
- Plan Kina: chest recipes cost 500,000 Kina each, guards up to 2 million — [Client data].

What is the Gear Change Voucher in AION 2?
A Unique-grade, bound Substance Morph material dropped in a specific Expedition dungeon. You exchange it, plus Kina, for a selection chest or a guard from that dungeon’s gear tier.
How do I use a Gear Change Voucher?
Open Substance Morph, find the recipe for that dungeon (for example ‘Urugugu Canyon: Accessory Selection Chest’), pay the vouchers and Kina, then open the chest and pick the item.
Can I sell or trade Gear Change Vouchers?
No. Database pages list them as not tradeable and stored in Character Storage.
How do I keep my enhancement when I change gear?
Use Transfer. It moves the enhance level and Soul Binding to the new item; Manastones, Theostones and Potential are lost, and the material item must be Soul Bound.
Is the Gear Change Voucher the same as the Customization Voucher?
No. The Customization Voucher NC gave all players on Oct 5, 2026 changes a skin or appearance in the Closet. It has nothing to do with gear stats.
